Cheltenham comes around only once a year, but it's been doing so since 1911, when the organisers of the "National Hunt Meeting" finally decided to stay in Cheltenham!
The Gold Cup, the meetings flagship race, is the highlight of the UK Hunt Calendar. The Cheltenham Gold Cup first took place in 1819, when the prize was 100 guineas - it's increased quite a bit since then!
Some great names have won the race in recent times, such as Kauto Star, Denman, Imperial Commander and Kicking King.
The 2011 winner, Long Run, is the early Ante Post favourite for the 2012 incarnation.
There's a host of hugely competitive races across the four days, and thousands are expected to arrive in Cheltenham to sample the legendary atmosphere. We're here to give you the betting edge and hopefully beat the bookmakers in 2012! From betting tips to course guides, historical trends and predictions, this is your home for the 2012 Cheltenham Festival!
