If you’re looking to place a Tote bet, then never fear, the instructions are here!
Click ‘Horse Racing’ when logged into your betting account, and you will see a series of options open in a sub-menu. Choose ‘Tote Pools’ here. The page which opens next is a list of all the types of Tote bet and which meetings they are available at. Select your preferred bet type underneath your favoured meeting.
The relevant races will then be displayed. If you’ve chosen a Quadpot for example, the last four races of the meeting will be displayed. You can then choose your horses by ticking the box to the right of the horses name.
At the bottom of the page, or in your stakebox, you must enter your stake per line (the stake is always in £, so if you have set up your account in Euro, then the amount taken from your balance will be converted).
Finally, just click the ‘Bet Now’ button to confirm your bet. Make sure you get confirmation that your bet has been placed successfully and then the only thing left to do is to enjoy the racing!
Minimum stakes for Tote bets
| Tote Win/Tote Place | The minimum stake for any Totewin bet is £2 (or currency equivalent), rising in increments of 10p thereafter. |
| Tote Eachway | The minimum combined stake is £4 or currency equivalent. This bet simply combines a Totewin bet and Toteplace bet on the same horse. |
| Tote Exacta | Single entries are accepted with a minimum unit stake of £2, rising thereafter in multiples of 10p. Permutation entries are accepted with a minimum unit stake of 10p rising in multiples thereafter of 10p provided a minimum of £2 is staked returns will be paid in accordance with the official dividend. |
| Combination Tote Exacta | Combination entries are accepted with a minimum unit stake of 10p rising in multiples thereafter of 10p provided a minimum of £2 is staked. Returns will be paid in accordance with the official dividend. |
| Tote Trifecta | Single entries are accepted with a minimum unit stake of £1, rising thereafter in multiples of 10p. Permutation entries are accepted with a minimum unit stake of 10p rising in multiples thereafter of 10p provided a minimum of £2 is staked. Returns will be paid in accordance with the official dividend. |
| Tote Quadpot | Single line entries are accepted with a minimum stake of £1, rising thereafter in multiples of 10p. Provided that a £1 minimum stake has been spent, permutation entries will be accepted with stake units of 10p, 20p, 25p, 30p, 40p, and 50p. |
| Tote Placepot | Single line entries are accepted with a minimum stake of £1, rising thereafter in multiples of 10p. Permutation entries are accepted with a minimum stake of 10p, rising thereafter in multiples of 10p, providing a minimum total of £2 is staked. |
| Tote Jackpot | Stake line entries are accepted with a minimum stake of £1, rising thereafter in multiples of 50p. Permutation entries are accepted with a minimum stake of 50p, rising thereafter in multiples of 50p, providing a minimum total of £2 is staked. |
| Tote Scoop6 | The lowest level of selection is one line of six horses, one in each leg, which costs the minimum unit stake of £2. However, any number of horses in each leg can be selected to make a permutation with each line of the permutation costing £2. |
